Summer Fun

School is out and summer is here! Now what? If my kids are like yours, they thrive on fun activities in the summer. The warmer weather and longer days means more time to make memories! These have made our summer to-do list:

  • Squirt Gun Painting is a must! Fireflies and Mudpies shared this creative idea that is sure to be a hit! Check out her blog for tips on how to pull off this messy fun without a hitch.

  • Make your own pizza and enjoy a family movie night! Homemade pizza is so yummy and an easy activity that everyone enjoys. We out a bunch of different toppings on the table, and let the kids go to town. We usually don’t even have leftovers. Kids love to eat things they help prepare!

  • A shaving cream car wash is fun from the beginning station through the end! Happy Hooligans shares this inexpensive activity that is enjoyable on a warm day.

Share your summer fun ideas with us and as always, happy reading!

Spring has Sprung!

The closer we get to park weather, the longer these colder days feel. Are you looking for some fun activities to occupy your kids while we shake off the last of winter? Check out these great spring projects!

Holly from Kids Activities Blog shared this great spring inspired gak. Her blog includes the recipe for this parent approved, less messy, slime like material. I love the glitter green color!

This activity from The Imagination Tree goes over so well with inquisitive little minds. It is quite amazing how fast the bean plants grow. My children were surprised at the length of the roots.

We LOVE sidewalk chalk! My kiddos and I spend many days making towns, racetracks, hopscotch, and now the list can go on! A Girl and A Glue Gun¬†shared fresh ideas and we can’t wait to begin a game of Twister.

Enjoy the warming weather, and as always, happy reading!
